The Kshatriya Youth Club (KYC) of Brisbane, Australia was established in 1996 at an Annual General Meeting of the Kshatriya Society of Brisbane Inc (KSB). As such, the KYC is a division of the Kshatriya Society of Brisbane Inc.
Objectives
The purpose of the Kshatriya Youth Club is to:
The Committee consists of nine (9) members and optionally two (2) co-oped members (where the committee selects two other members to join the Committee). Only those members of the KSB who are 35 years old and under may become Committee Members of the KYC.
The KYC is continually striving to become a more professional body. Lately, the Club has been gaining more and more participation from the younger generation. Support from the rest of the Kshatriya Brisbane Community has also been tremendous. The Club has had a relatively short but colourful history. One of its greatest achievements to date has been the hosting of the first ever Kshatriya World Cup Soccer (Brisbane 2002) in which seven (7) teams from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji participated.
The KYC has provided cohesion and bond amoungst our youth, paving the way to maintain our tradition, culture and values.
